Biography of Dr. Barry Lachman: Dr. Lachman is a well-known expert in providing healthcare to those who are underprivileged. He has been working with underserved people for more than 50 years, delivering care, developing programs, and advocating on their behalf. His leadership in the management of asthma and the prevention of preterm delivery has earned him national recognition. He has over 25 years of experience as a managed care medical director.
The improvement of underserved communities and individuals is the main goal of his current work as president and chief executive officer of Lachman Community Development and Consulting Services. He places particular emphasis on addressing social issues like food insecurity, access to affordable housing, healthcare, small business development, and workforce development. Reopening from COVID, innovative care models, and utilizing modern communication and technology for community-based care are the main topics of related research.
